"Third Age" - for baby boomers and beyond ThirdAge has a vision: to rewrite the rules of getting older and transform the voice of aging from one of limitation to one of possibility. Inspired by the French term "Troisième Âge," ThirdAge refers to the concept of lifelong learning, self-development and fulfillment, and the period of life following young adulthood, yet preceding "seniorhood" and retirement. A time of life characterized by vital living, freedom, personal growth and enrichment. Their audience members -- as well as others experiencing this life stage -- are ThirdAgers. We have friends and business associates in their 80's who still work every day, and who become very incensed if anyone should suggest they retire. These days, "retirement" doesn't seem to be tied to chronological age anymore. It seems to be more about physical condition and attitude. If this fits you, then you're a ThirdAger, no matter how many birthdays you've had!
